Hey misfits group

What do you all think about bobby's sudden idea about the no-name party? I think it really shows that bobby is a person full of ideas and that he is underestimating himself. In the story it says "I have always thought that i was just like him......all of a sudden i am thinking i am more like my mom. Not just a dreamer   but somebody who can make things happen." This quote proves that Bobby is underestimating himself. I think that Bobby's sudden change in character reminds me of Bryce's change in Flipped. They both realized that they were better than what they were before and they both realized this so suddenly. If you have any ideas about this or connections please comment below.

  1. I agree, that Booby is a person with hidden potential. I think that later on in the book, Bobby will be able to unleash the power of greatness. I liked your quote, because that was a quote that really stood out to me.

  2. Wow Ellen and Stephen,

Amazing discussion. I think this is a really a significant moment in the novel. It shows why the group would value Bobby and how we sometimes underestimate people. What impact do you think this scene will have on the rest of the book now that we know more about Bobby? How will he impact the other characters? How will it change his relationship with his parents?
